Living at home in comfortable surroundings is often the wish of many senior citizens. The thought of moving to assisted living is devastating and even somewhat humiliating. After working hard for many years to earn a place called home, the last thing desired is to move into strange surroundings with unfamiliar caretakers or unknown residents. Some people fear losing the ability to make daily choices; they fear losing independence.
